After spending 3-4 weeks of consistent porting and polishing my G-head, the machine shop just called to let me know that the head is cracked. Choice words came to mind, but now I need to start planning out from here. I have the stock swirl head on my mini right now and think I will just stick to plan, but use the stock head. Obviously, compression wont be lowered, but what would be a "safe" maximum boost to shoot for?

Also, anybody know what the stock compression VS with G-head is?

Between the valve seats. 3/4 of them. Is this still usable? Others in another forum say it may be... I just hate to chance things, ya know? Pic isn't that great, but it goes all teh way across between the two.

That's normal for all the heads.

People have ground down that spot & found that the crack is only surface-deep. I wouldn't exactly say that it's normal for ALL the heads, but it's common.

Swirl head has a 6cc smaller chamber. I don't feel like doing the math at the moment.
