ok i have been haveing a problem with the bushings in the shifter cable i have tried all kinds of things for this the only thing i have working on it is some wire coat hanger i am at my wits end trying to figure this out. i am hopeing that someone has already delt with this.:bang head

Did your stock bushings die? if so, the prothane shifter bushing kit for the 1st gen neon works on the shadow 3.0 cables. Its like $12 too.

If not, please give us some more details.

Yea, the bushing inserts in the shift cables can be replaced. IIRC, FWD Performance sells them.

After you get the new bushings installed, I may suggest re-centering and readjusting your shifter.

the bushings were dead when i bought the car
i have tried all kinds of diffrent rubber peices that got from junkyards but my wire is the only thing that works
