I have an 86 Daytona Turbo Z 2.2 t1 that needs a clutch (525 right?). I found one for really cheap on ebay (item #200089066063), 53 bucks shipped, plus I ordered it at about 10am and it was on my doorstep at noon the next day! I doubt it's very good but this is my wife's car and she's not too easy on the clutch anyway. Plus she wants to race it eventually, so I'll put a 555 or 568 or whatever in it with a good clutch then. I just hope this clutch fits!

Anyway, the car shifts okay but the second gear synchro is pretty worn, if I'm not nice with it then it crunches into gear. Does anyone have any advice on this, like it is worth it to rebuild the crappy 525 while it's out or maybe if my wife is easy on the shifter (it's the clutch that she is hard on) would it last a another 10 or 20k miles?

Thanks

because christmas broke me! Can't afford 500 right now. Besides, I can use it as justification to buy a whole parts car just for the 555 later down the road!

Would it be better to put in a 555 or a 568?
