i'm pretty sure all you do is disconnect the old gear/speed sensor (whatever it's called) from the old 525 and bolt it into the 555. I think it's a white plastic gear.
speedo cable fix
Wondering how to adapt the speedo cable from my 86 glh to fit the a555. everything else seems to be ready to go. thanks in advance guys

i second that the usually 555's have full electronic speed sensors the older ones have a hole up top for a cable... just unbolt the whole unit from the old trany & stick it in the new one ur good to go, make sure u use the 555 spedo gear though
