Ok, 1989 Plymouth Acclaim Turbo
We took the dash apart. Rebuilt the odometer and trip odometer with new gears (as per sticky).
Now, it doesnt read correctly. A friend/mechanic said my speed sensor which was soaked with oil was probably faulty, so I replaced it.
The needle had popped off the speedo at one point(after we replaced the gears) I tried to manually adjust it (using a gps app) and now its only correct from 65-75 mph. Above and below these speeds it reads incorrect.
Any idea on what I can do to fix this? Anyone here fix these? Anyone out there that fixes these?

Deluxe Speedometer in Denver can fix it for you. They probably have a mail service.
They fixed a cable driven speedometer for me and replaced the odometer gears, lubed everything, and tested it for accuracy. You may have bad solder joints on the back of your dashboard, so look for cracks and touch them up with a soldering iron. Or, you have the wrong sensor for your transmission, they are a matched set.

Good luck with it...
