Hey guys I'd like to say hello and that I'm new to the forums so go easy on me for a few days while I get adjusted :p

Also thanks for the great reading the forums have offered on some of my concerns and questions but I'd like to ask some to clarify things.

I might have access to a '04 SRT-4 with the turbo, wiring harness, transmission, and probably just about anything else I might need for the engine. I'm debating on putting this engine into a non dodge car. I am curious about a stand alone computer for the engine so that way I wont have to worry too much about the dodge ecm if all possible. Are there any "finished" stand alone systems for the SRT-4 ? Also I would like to know if there is a list of Automatic transmissions that will fit the SRT-4 without too much work (to keep from converting the car over to manual if possible). I have many other questions if anyone would like to talk 1on1 about my questions and concerns.

Thanks :)

Thanks :)

Well I know that MegaSquirt has a stand alone system but I was under the impression that it was a complete DIY setup. Are there any stand alone systems that are already built or does MS offer one that just requires wiring up the harness? Also I would need one to control the fan, and any other under the hood electronics to eleminate my ECM completely (if possible). I am new to the MegaSquirt idea but have read a lot of stuff about it and think it may be what route I'll take. As for the transmission issue... What automatic transmissions will handle the output of the SRT-4 and would also be a direct fit? Once I can get past this issue with the stand alone unit and transmission ideas I'll be able to see about making CV's to fit my car. I know a lot of people would kill me over my idea but its just something I'd like to do :p

Thanks for the reply :)
