I'm posting this for a friend. Her '04 is running warm, just above half way on gauge (210) while idling after 20-30 minutes on highway. It's been happening the last few days. She said it never did that before. Coolant is fine. I haven't seen it happen myself. Has anyone had this problem? Is this a problem?
Thanks

It's hard to get used to at first, but the gauge in these cars actually moves when the temp. goes up a little, instead of being like most factory gauges that don't move when temp. goes up 10 or 15 degrees. Like the other guys said, it's probably normal.

My car idles at around 200 and the fans turn on around 220+ so that 200 idle temp sounds about right.
