I know, rules state I can update the brake package, but is silent on the upgrade of the hubs package, and Stock Elim. is critical, if it isn't in there, take it as not allowed. But, have an argument for an exception request, if it is required to update the brake pkg, or the improved safety aspect of an addl. lug per axle clamping force, or tires are not sold in 14's anymore like the slicks now are all 15's for FWD's plus 4 lug 15's are rare in the correct offset, etc., so I will make the argument and see where it leads once I am back out there. I already own the 5 lug hubs/bearings/seals new in the boxes.
The 18 hole steels are ok, have 2 of em' already on the front street tires, slicks are mounted on the stock alum. wheels that match the rears. I can p.u. 2 more and last ditch effort on the diet once engine is back in and whole thing is scaled, saving that for last to maybe lose the last bit of extra wt., so I can put a tiny bit back in the ballast box. 4 of those steels get me exactly what the combo ballast box/torque strap weighs (14 lbs), and I know the weight difference x 4.
So I know I can reinstall the empty box, making scale weight adj. easy between tracks/drivers. My wife and 3 boys are going to play too, and there is a driver weight difference between wife and I....And our slightly heavier boys. (we are both under 170...Those 3 each, are well over).
