Ok so I'm currently seeking to buy a 1989/1988 2.2 t2 common block and I found one but it doesn't have a computer. But a friend has a super 60 computer I can buy. My question/problem is does the super 60 replace the computer that I would Be lacking if I bought the above mentioned motor??? Or do I need to use the super 60 and stock computer together?? I know I have to run bigger injectors an stuff with the super 60 but I can't figure out if it replaces the stock comp.....please helP!!!!! Thanks for any advice in advance!!!

it replaces the stock computor
BUT you need the whole deal - s 60 turbo , cam , injectors , map sensor (3 bar) and s 60 fuel pump or equivelant

then it's lacking the oxygen sensor input - dosen't use it

idle is said to suck also - this was designed to be a real race package back in the day
To work right this is what you will need

Super 60 turbo
Walbro 255 pump
3bar map
+40 injectors
Intercooled
Bigger cam s60, 314, fwd stage 2
And about $1200-$1600
The S60 is made for over 20 % more VE. big valve ported G head, .500" lift cam, fully ported or extrude honed 2 piece intake with 52mm TB, ported exhaust manifold and S60 turbo. Good 2.5" exhaust, biggest of the time.

Then comes the 3 bar map and +40 injectors

The kit also requires a better flowing intercooler, the S60 or a aftermarket.

People running the whole thing have seen 310 WHP on race gas. People not running the whole thing report chewing fuel and washing the cylinders in low mode.

do it all with no real changes or don't use the computer at all. Most S60 computer sit on a shelf there whole life.
Thanks for all the help guys!! It's much appreciated, I'll be updating things as I go with pics
big question is why do you need a computer ? is your car currently a non turbo car ? is a 2.5 turbo car ? if it is a 2.5 turbo car send the comp out and have it socketed and flashed for a 2.2 t2. if it is not turbo then i see why you need a computer

Sorry I don't think I can use it... From what I understand I need a 1990 vnt computer to gut in order for it to work with the 1990 L body wiring harness. I'm nOt a 100% sure of that but thats how I understood it when it was explained to me here.. I'm open to advice though!
I got a super 60 package on my car works awsome! 32 mpg on highway! Has stock 89 turbo roller cam-stock intercooler, but all the rest of the package(ported big valve g head,ecm,injectors,3 bar,255 walbro, minivan throttle body,3 inch exhaust eccept downpipe.Highway mpg was never this high in stock t2 config

That's awesome I was wondering if I could use the stock radiator/intercooler from a 89 lebaron. I have one in perfect condition sittin in storage. Are you using it on the low or high setting for around town????and how's your idle at stop lights??? So you didn't need to run a S60 cam with the whole set up?? That's awesome because I read the mopar s60 cams snap after about 10,000 miles which has sent me on a search for a more reliable street performance cam... Any suggestions anybody? Just to clarify, you said your running the stock 89 T2 cam correct?
stock cam -has smooth stock type idle.Pulls way better on high boost setting 20 psi 93 pump gas.I put the stock valve springs on the mp race ported head they go with the stock roller cam.The super 60 cam with the called for springs from what I read rubs the loabs down fast.Way less friction with a roller!

That's awesome!!!!! I was worried I was gonna be changing cams every year. So have you raced anything?? What's your Estimated 1/4 mile time and HP??
I dont know yet- in the spring I will go to the drag strip that was closed all last year and is now going to be back this year with the 8000 hp cars even! I think trap speed will be 110mph or so

You don't have to have a VNT computer unless you're going to run it stock on a 2.2. If it's getting re-cal'd, you can use any 1990/91 Turbo computer (VNT or 2.5 T1).

Oh ok thanks, that makes much easier to hunt down!
