I got to thinking...while I do a burnout, I see 14psi, but I am not flowing any outside air across my intercooler, so basically if I do a big ol' burnout wont I end up detonating, because the air charge will be so hot??
Possible, but how long a burnout are you doing. Excessive burnouts make the tires greasy if anything. You can heat soak the IC, I try to spray a mist of water/alcohol on it before a pass anyway, the evaporation will help keep it cool while not moving.
Also there isnt much load on the engine once the tires are spinning, not likely to detonate
