almost, I have found out the hard way that cables from 84-87 are a little different than the 88-89 cables, the cross over cable is different, just make sure the cables are the correct length from the shifter to the place where the cables mount to the shifter assy.
There are also two different ends that were used on the other cable on the trans end. I don't know what years had what, because I have seen them both on 87-88 cars. One has the pop-on ball end and the other has a heim joint with a bolt that goes through it. Both were A520s out of 87s.
i sloved that probelm in a 520 to 555 swap by removing the cable mount off the 520 & bolting in place to the 555 (fit's perfectly) as for the cable length i was able to compensate by adjusting the cables under the center console never have problems with it since
