What brakes do you have on the front? If there not matching I dont think a prop valve will solve your probs

I tried to get one from a the dealer and no go, so used is the only option AFIK

I do think it would be a good thing for some vendors to look into

OE disks in front...not sure what diameter they are, but i'm sure that a prop valve for rear drums puts out alot more pressure than one for rear disks...I am going to try and see what happens when i use the prop valve i have now, and i'm guessing that my rear wheels are going to lock up. Just from what i've been being told i need that prop valve........

This has to all be dependent on weather conditions. Tires you have on. Brake pads and rotors that you use. The road your driving on. How saturated your brake fluid is with water or any little tiny bit of air in the lines, maybe even weather its dot3 or dot4, or braided stainless steel lines or oe rubber ones. I have dot4 in mine for that extra high temps that i'm going to get when i rally race in the back roads that just got paved by my house. So i have good places to test my brakes out.

I remember installing an adjustable prop valve in-line on this old '67 camaro that i worked on afew years ago. Might try one of those if i really dont like my brakes.

I'm just going to run my brakes the way they are now, for now. So i can just find out for my self. I'll try and get afew different prop valves from some other models just to see how they work.

I have the stock drum prop valve with 11" fronts and vented rears and the rears never lock up before the fronts do. Only if I slam the brakes hard then all 4 wheels lock up. In normal driving the brakes feel great and it'll put my passengers thru the windshield.

Did you use the original master cyl?? or did you get the one for rear disks also?

I'm using the vented rear disc/11" front brake master cylinder. The 11" vented rear setup and master cylinder are off a '90 Daytona, the 11" front setup is off a 92 Daytona. New pads and rotors all the way around.

Cool thanks for your info...I'm going to have to look into the 11in frts as well. But we'll see how the OE's work for now.:thumb:

another thing you can do is like I did and use aggressive pads up front and stockish pads in the rear to help(since I'm using a drum prop valve with full R/T brakes, but I also have wider tires then most)
