When you convert from A525 rod shift to A520/A555 cable shift on an L-body, remember you have to do a little work to the floor where the shifter went thru. Cut or beat down the hump, plate the hole up, drill 4 holes for the new shifter, modify the upper center console bracket tabs on the side to lower them and create two brackets to hold the center console in place. Something like what I did.
