I got my whole engine from a 95 stratus I picked the 2.4 because I have a heavy daytona I think a 2.0 would do very well in a lighter vehicle but not sure.As far as fabrication is not much as far as motor mounts if you have a welder, electronics is the major factor you'll be faced with unless you go stand alone. As far as finding one I went to car part.com and found 3 within 15 miles of the house, bought the cheapest one 150.00 total for everything.kevinkaleb said:I am a Newb to the 16v conversion. I dont really want to do a hybrid, but rather swap in a 2.4. I definately have the skills to do any fabrication necessary.
Where can I find a 2.4? is there an advantage between the 2.4 and the 2.0? which one is better than the other? Does the exhuast dump out on the front or rear of these engines? Also I would assume that there is a good aftermarket support for these engines with the srt-4.
Where can I find a manual tranny that will work?
I have been hearing that its pretty easy to swap in a auto, but I need a manual.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not really sure.kaleb said:Wow, thanks. Is there any difference in the block between the 01 on up and the older ones? I know that the heads are slightly different, just want to know if the blocks are the same?

Like I said the srt-4 pistons are hyperutectic not forged not even close they will be destroyed very easy chrysler has very good electronics to keep this from happening. As far as rods to each there own either will work I choose to go with pauter billet rods they will handle 700hp.88-16V-Lebaron said:For $240 ($60 ea) you get four new forged pistons with four forged rods attached from the SRT4. The SRT4 forged rods are just as strong if not stronger than the T2 rods in my opinion. :thumb:
