What's a good size pipe for a non turbo 2.5? I heard a 2.25 is about the best. Also what's a good muffler for performance but doesn't sound like a Honda civic? Heard turbo mufflers are good too

hack it off. straight 2.5in pipe is best. turbo engines do not need a muffler. no muffler and keep the cat sounds good too. your car wont sound like a honda. trust me.

My 2.2 has full length MP header with 2.5" pipe all the way back, it works well for me. I put an 18" long glass packed muffler about 18" behind the header collector as a resonator, and used a 2.5" Summit turbo muffler in the stock location at the back. Definitely growls, but it's not a "ricer" sound at all. Has a lot more authority. Runs like a scalded dog...:thumb:

according to their application chart it should. My guess is any used ones would be in pretty bad shape. I dread the day I have to replace my MP header. 12 years and still going strong, I"ve put about 75,000 miles on mine.:fingersx:

They are ceramic coated so I don't think they will be too bad but honestly a new one is well worth the money.
You can buy them either ceramic or painted. Painted are $275 at Summit Racing. Sad thing is, I bought my MP header for $125 from Naperville Dodge(the old, good, Naperville). At the time, they claimed there were only two left in the system. I bought most of my MP parts for my 2.2 through them.
