Who has noticed a difference when swapping from 89 K-member to 91 cast style?

I lowered my van over 2 years ago, had the front springs squished, Gabriel VST struts, polybushings from Energy suspension. It was ok, rode pretty good, cornered excellent, tad choppy but liveable. I just swapped in a 91 K-member, 11 inch brakes, poly bushings and its very choppy, so much so its really bouncy too?????? coming home from the movie tonight, I was flying down the highway, 130 km/h and it was bouncing pretty good, enough I didn't like it, and it was scary!
Anyone swapped and noticed this or any other weird stuff. Yes, its been aligned.

Bouncing is springs not being controlled by the strut.
Nothing to do with the a-arms.

Johnny
You could be right Una, never thought of that. Its really bad, I don't like it and if "someone" gets back to me, lol, I will have some coming, Koni's that is.

I hear what your saying Johnny but it didn't do it before the swap!
I upgraded my '87 Shelby Lancer with a '91 K-frame, control arms, knuckles, hubs, 11" brakes etc..It was very bouncy in front after the swap, but I also installed KYB/Eibach combo at the same time, which is why it's so bouncy. The KYBs just can't handle the Eibach springs.

What do you mean by having the front springs 'squished'? Was the spring rate affected?

No one makes lowering springs for a minivan, having them made back then was not an option-broke, so a company that deals with springs only told me the best route is to have them squished-there put in a press and squished. Works awesome, lowered the front exactly 2 inches. Now I am making some money, going to consider having some made and I depending on who wants them, might sell them!
I just figured it out. Went to go look at gap between the strut top and bearing plate and theres 3/4 inch of space so I am bottoming out. Before the swap, I had close to 2 inches? Hmmm, guess the angles are different and causing it too load up differently. I guess a rethink is in order for my front suspension. Thinking of using Daytona struts and making a spacer but now, will have to put that in high gear!

I don't want to go back to stock height, argggggggggggggg  :bang head

Will it never end?
