why does the head gasket I got for my 2.5 turbo I common block have two holes for the cross drill (right between each cylinder) when there is only one actual hole on the head/block? it basically has a hole in the gasket which goes nowhere and gets blocked off by the head/block. you can see where the metal has worn away a bit on the head and block from contact with the coolant.

It was in a felpro gasket set, P/N HSB9296PT-1 from autozone. Does this sound automatically like a bad thing or is just worrisome because it doesnt make sense?

Take it back and get a Mopar gasket. Felpro makes a good product for many applications, but head gaskets for our turbo cars isn't one of them.
