Those buttons fail all the time on those old radios. I've heard of people replacing the buttons at minimal cost. Your gonna be hard pressed to find one or more with all buttons functioning. One of those labor of love projects I'm afraid.

Any idea where one.can buy replacement buttons? Feeling I would have to buy a couple radios just for parts in hope I could get a couple good buttons from each.

There is a guy on our local MNSDAC that repairs electronics for a living. I bought a 85 NY'er indirectly from him about a decade ago. He replaced all the broken buttons and switches in the NY'er digital dash, 12 button navigation system, and radio. IIRC the navigation system needed more than just switches. Anyway, they all work perfect still. Same radio/tape deck as you have just face is in silver not black. You may not find the exact push button, but you can probably find something that could work. You wouldn't want the exact switch anyway, as history proved these were a POS design (lol).
Doesn't one of you guys have a background in electronics? I seem to recall that for some reason.

I used a bottle of rubber contact cement that had a brush & cap, and that worked.
I could probably find a substitute for the button switch though.

Well if things workout with Carman and I can get a radio or two off him, I can get you my old one I'm replacing. Still had a couple ok buttons on it.
Good deal. All I really need is the six small square buttons used for the six presets on the radio in my original picture.
My radio in my picture I replaced all the actual button switches, but somehow misplaced a couple of the preset button tops
Alright then. I'll keep in touch and we'll figure something out. Just know that a few of the lottle buttons on mine are stuck too. I believe 2 of them are.

everything works on the radios but I don’t know about the cassette
