I have an '87 GLHS that's been in storage for waaay toooo long. I used to drive this car quite often 10 years ago... then it went through an exterior restoration and I put it away since then. I've decided to resurrect #341 for SDAC-15 and now it has an overboosting problem.

There are a ton of upgrades on this car and it used to run 20psi reliably. Now, in 3rd, 4th and 5th gears w.o.t. the computer will shut the car down from detecting an overboost condition. I'm pretty sure I have the reverse biased zener diode across the map sensor... but that was a waaaaay long time ago.

Does anyone have a link that details that connection schematic?

Also, what it is the max psi the aftermarket Shelby computer will allow before it goes into the shutdown mode?

Thanks!

Zener diode diagram and explanation

I really dont know what boost level it will handle. Stock, 14.4, I believe I have heard 18, but that is a guess at best
