Of the tint? It's good. I recommend taking the door panel down if you're going to do it on a t-top, as that's what I did to make it easier. The weather here is going to be a little sad til Wednesday but I'm washing my car down regardless and I'll take pictures so it'll be easier to make your mind up

feel free to ask questions or pm me on this tint install

by the way does the trim piece need repainted or something else?

that looks good. yep windex w/ammonia not good. distilled water with a couple of squirts of dish soap is best. as for those mouldings they can be sanded and painted trim black. i found that the SEM or Wurth are best for match factroy finish but the duplicolor is real close too. if you use the duplicolor and use a light buffing compound they are very close to factory.

thanks norm on the advice. i guess i'll wait and paint them.....along with the rest of the car.
and i actually used tap water and 3% baby shampoo. the kit instructions also suggest it. it's gentler on the adhesive

Distilled water and baby soap is what I always used on film. I find it much easier ,the way the roll-up glass is shaped on Daytona, just to pull the glass right out to tint them. The rear glass is not very curved and is easy to do in one piece with the right film and looks great when done that way. I have a few non rear-defrost hatch glasses that I want to install in a few of my cars and then tint one piece. That should look pretty good when done IMO.

I also really like SEM Trim Black. It works amazingly well for being in a spray can. I have done all my window trim and mirrors in my show cars and they look great!

here's my projet "rust bucket", been in restoration since april 2010, just got the paint job done, hope I can ride it this summer, been saying that for the last 2 years, here's how she is looking right now, I will eventually build a tread for it with lots of pics from start to finish,

yeah the sem is awesome it comes even closer if you use the buffing method i mentioned earlier light compound on a buffing wheel. and the prices are all about the same. just don't use the duplicolr bumper trim it is too flat.

for as cheap as the kit costs, that looks pretty damn good, i must say, i am going to go ahead and try a kit on my daytona as my tint on my daytona is from 00 when i got it and its now starting to peel and it already changed to purple a few years ago LOL

Thanks man. I did like the outcome and for the price it was worth a shot

that is the correct formula and items to use. you're right on target
Thanks! Been tinting on and off since 99. I just wish there was a Llumar pre-cut kit for the Daytona. That would make it alot easier on me as I think I have done 30 of them now lol
