here's what's up, I have an 89 Caravan with a 2.5 Turbo which is blown and I want to swap to a 2.2 now can I get away with leaving the stock PCM and body computer or will I have to switch in a 2.2 computer from an 89 vechicle? Any help would be great and it would save me alot of time fooling around.

Nah, it will run just fine. One of my friends here in town has a '90 Shadow ES that he swapped an '88 2.2L T1 engine into and it runs great on the '90 2.5 T1 electronics. The car also has an '89 CSX radiator/intercooler. The spark/fuel curves won't be optimum, but it will run fine and make good safe power. He just took it to the dyno and made 184 wheel HP and 234 wheel TQ with that setup.

No idle problems on my friends car and definately no stalling.

Since you have an '89 Caravan (SMEC) you could try to find an '88-'89 TII SMEC to run the 2.2L engine instead. You would need to wire in the charge temp sensor, and preferably add an intercooler however.
