This is a simple comparison list of things i noticed different from my old turbo, t3/t4 turbonetics super 50 vs the he351cw

I put about 300 miles on the new build since jackson finished it on Saturday, and there are things that i noticed right off the bat.

the Holset:
-spools a lot smoother / isn't harsh / doesn't thrash the crank as much
-it starts building positive psi faster
-its A LOT more stable / doesn't flutter / forget what its doing
-its sexy
-bolts right up with no mods to firewall
-the sound it puts off reminds me of semi's at the farm. music to my ears
-runs cool for being oil cooled only
-it knows when u want power

overall, it makes the t-netics super 50 look like a complete puss.

450$ for the holset, vs the $800 for the super 50, the holset is by far the better option as the t-netics doesn't have anything remotely better than the holset from my experience. For pretty much half the price u get 2x the turbo.

With my experience with holset's on all 36 of the farms semis and most of our farm equipment, i know its a strong and reliable brand and can handle pretty much anything.

The first time you run through the gears with this turbo, its instant night and day difference in how it performs in comparison.

I would highly recommend this turbo to anyone.

With a big turbo you need air flow to turn it. With out the ported compressor the range they run at is a lot more narrow. So just like surge protection we think about at high boost, it also helps when they try to surge at low speeds.

More air at low RPM adds more low RPM cylinder pressure for spooling faster. Had the T04E came with a ported housing like the GTK the turbo would have ran differently. But then again price, I asked, $300 for a ported housing for my S50. Ugly

Good descriptive feedback. I agree 100%!
Pretty much exactly what I would say and what I would tell anyone looking to buy one. I will have one of these turbos on everyone of my TIII cars someday....

I keep getting asked for a Holset TIII install guide with pics and I will get on it soon and make it a sticky for anyone wanting to get one of these turbos for their TIII car.
