Holy spit, overboostperformance! The all-red look is amazing on your car. I'd seen the old picture with the gold wheels before, but the way you have it set up now... Wow. Just wow.

Also, I can't figure out what you did to your side trim. It doesn't look completely removed, but it looks like more than simply painted red. What's the trick?

Thank you

butt loads of body hours !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they have not been removed they are filled (indent where red stripe normally is) with a flexible body filler sanded smooth then touched up with filler. i have about 20 hours into the nose cone alone it will be easier on the next one hahaha.

there is one other body trick no one has picked out yet . thought that would be the first one noticed.....good the inspection statyion won't even know.

Holy cow! You removed/filled the side blinkers on the front and rear! It's a subtle change that must've taken a lot of work. Were they welded over, fiberglassed, or what? It's extremely nice!

What flexible body filler are you using for the side trim?

I love the fact that you're doing custom, subtle body mods in the same spirit as what hot rodders have done to 1950's cars. There aren't enough people doing that sort of thing to 1980's cars. I really like what you've done. Do you have other ideas brewing, or are you satisfied with what you've got now?

Also, what made you decide to remove the louvers? I love my louvers, but I've gotta admit your car looks fabulous without them.

the inspection station knows:eek:.... you do realize you really "should" take it for a nice long blast down to my area. besides who else is gonna pass that exhaust...

for everyone thats reading along, the exhaust is badass. at first i thought it wasn't gonna sound good, boy was i wrong... now to finish my barn find...:)

thanks scott

scott has been through every heart break with this thing he probably know the car as well as i do and helped on the body. good td times hahahahaha burn baby burn hahahahah

as for more body mods yes there are some in the pipe line (3 majors to be exact )but those are overboost motorsports secrets hahahaha i hear they have a thing for one off stuff eh scott :D

there is not a spec of black on the outside of the car other than weatherstripping and push pins to hold gfx in

the louvers are just not for me on my car. they date it and i am trying to make it as modern and wtf is that as possible so no emblems either. if you don't know what schooled your ricer ya better find out hehehehehe

the side markers i made metal plates that bolt through and then use a bondo fiberglass (good stuff not bondo brand) combo that hardens like concrete then top coated with filler

Norm

I've been pondering ways of frenching the side markers for years. The front ones won't be too bad(I don't mind cutting fenders), but the rear ones, because they screw directly on to the rear quarter panel(and I don't want to cut up that part of my car)...not so much.

It does look great!! :thumb: :thumb:

Technically 2... 3 are TC's, turbo Chryslers, lol.

That red Laser looks badass! Judging by the height of the grass behind it, it hasn't been moved in months :( I'll take it off your hands :thumb:

Here's a few shots from yesterday while I installed my cold air intake and redid some plumbing (sorry for the crappy cell pics!):
