If anyone else needs bolts for their spacers let me know, I can get socket head cap screws M10 x 1.0 x 60mm in a 12.1 grade for about $1.20 a bolt.

My first order should be here within 10 days as they are a custom order they are being made.
The ones for T2 Shadow's spacer are 10x1x25 in 12.9 They were 1.56 with shipping to him
What are yours for??

about bolt clearance

Check my pics on the page below. Two posts with pics. The second post has pics of grinding down the stock bolts AND socket for better clearance. I would post more but my atx is in welding shop right now. I think one further mod to bolt head would give all the clearance needed with little or no grinding of 413 case.

How does the QBX compare with a Quaiffe?

Good stuff, I'm slowly getting interested after seeing the progress.

Perhaps someone could make up a complete "howto" page about this. For example how to take an A413 and do the complete LSD mod. From which OBX to purchase, how to install the spacer to what to do with the bolts, and the case.

I had a How-To written up for the A670 which is pretty much identical to the A413 but its missing some things, I lost some pictures and the server it was on crashed a few times.

I'm in the middle of doing it all over again. I'll see what I can do about getting it finished up for you.

Where to grind housing

I figured out that using duct tape in the housing and inserting the obx will show you where to grind . It will tak a LOT of ins and outs before you get there, but you won't grind in the wrong place. Use brake cleaner in the housing to get the tape to stick. when you put the dif in, it will mark the tape. Just grind through the tape, pull it off, install new tape, insert dif again, etc.

i use black spray paint.. works real good and alot easier.. but yes alot of in's and out's!! alittle more and i'll clear but it's gonna be real thin there so i'm gonna add some weld on the otherside but the t.converter still has to clear so a little more is better than less. i'll take pics soon.

Yeah, I ground mine out so thin that it actually punched 3 small pin holes in it. Which I filled with JB Weld. I'm going to be doing the same thing with this hybrid I'm building. But since the Quaife is in my other tranny I have no way to actually gauge how much I need to remove.

need to just buy the pelquin posi, for the 413. It fits directly and considering the other parts it comes with it isn't much more money than the OBX.

I guess I learned a different kind of math. I can buy 2 OBX LSD's for the price of one peloquin. I am still looking for a spacer or the plans for one. I am going to buy an OBX and put it in my A413. If I have to figure it out after I get the OBX lsd I guess I will. I repeat.

If no one sells one, where can I get the plans for one? If someone has one for sale, pm me or email me at jmanpt@iland.net Thanks, Pat
